Best Banana Bread Recipe

2 cups mashed very ripe banana, about 4 large ½ cup cane sugar or brown sugar ½ cup melted butter or vegetable oil, plus more for the pan 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1½ cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled 1 teaspoon baking soda ½ teaspoon sea salt ½ teaspoon cinnamon ¼ teaspoon nutmeg ½ cup chopped walnuts, plus 2 tablespoons for topping

Warm the oven up to 350°F and grease a loaf pan that is 8x4 or 9x5 inches.

Mix the mashed banana, sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla in a big bowl with an electric mixer.

Put the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a medium bowl and mix them together with a whisk.

Mix the dry and wet ingredients together until they are just mixed. Mix too much. Add the ½ cup of walnuts and mix them in.

Put the batter into the pan that has been made, and then sprinkle the last two tablespoons of walnuts on top.

Bake for fifty to sixty minutes, or until you can stick a knife in and it comes out clean. The top should also spring back when you touch it.

After 40 minutes, I like to check on the loaf. If the top is golden brown, I put foil over it for the rest of the baking time to stop it from getting even browner.
