Burrito Pie

– 2 pounds ground beef – 1 onion, chopped – 2 teaspoons minced garlic – 1 (2 ounce) can black olives, sliced – 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chili peppers – 1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers – 1 (16 ounce) jar taco sauce

Ingredients

While the pan is on medium heat, cook the ground beef for 5 minutes. After you add the onion and garlic, cook for five more minutes. If you want to, drain off any extra fat.

Add the green chile peppers, olives, chopped tomatoes with green chile peppers, taco sauce, and refried beans. Mix everything together. Turn down the heat, stir the mixture well, and then let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

In the bottom of a 4-quart baking dish, spread out a thin layer of the cooked meat.

Add a layer of tortillas, then more meat combination, and finally a layer of cheese. Repeat the pattern of tortilla, meat, and cheese until all the tortillas are used up. Add a layer of meat mixture and cheese on top to finish.

In an oven that has already been hot, bake for 20 to 30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and a little brown.
