Homemade Dog Treats Recipe

For the Dog Treats – ▢2½ cups whole wheat flour 300 grams (see note) – ▢1 large egg 50 grams – ▢1 cup peanut butter 270 grams (see note) – ▢1 cup water 227 grams – ▢2 tablespoons honey 43 grams (see note)

Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a big bowl, mix together the whole wheat flour and the egg. Then add the peanut butter, water, and honey. Stir it all up until it becomes a stiff dough. You might need to use your hands or a mixer with a paddle attachment.

On a surface dusted with flour, roll out the dough until it's about ½-inch thick. Use cookie cutters to make fun shapes.

Bake the treats for 18-20 minutes until they turn golden. Let them cool.

For the frosting, put peanut butter and honey in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat it in the microwave for 15 seconds at a time, stirring in between, until it's melted.

Slowly add hot water, one tablespoon at a time, until it's the thickness you want for frosting.
