Lemon Bars

– ▢1½ cup all-purpose flour 180 grams – ▢½ cup powdered sugar 57 grams – ▢12 tablespoons unsalted butter 170 grams, cold (1½ sticks) – ▢⅛ teaspoon kosher salt


Put all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, unsalted butter (cut into small pieces), and kosher salt in a mixing bowl. This is how you make the crust.

Mix the ingredients together with a pastry cutter or a fork until they look like small crumbs.

For the crust, press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom of the baking dish that has been prepared. This will make a smooth, dense layer

When the oven is hot, put the crust in it and bake it for 10 to 15 minutes, or until it turns a light golden colour. When it's done, take it out of the oven and let it cool down well.

Get the filling ready. Put the granulated sugar, pure vanilla extract, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, eggs, and all-purpose flour in a different bowl.

Pour Filling: Evenly pour the ready filling mixture over the layer of cooled shell in the baking dish.
