Sloppy Joes

– 1 pound lean ground beef – ¼ cup chopped onion – ¼ cup chopped green bell pepper – ¾ cup ketchup, or to taste – 1 tablespoon brown sugar, or to taste – 1 teaspoon yellow mustard, or to taste – ½ teaspoon garlic powder – salt and ground black pepper to taste – 6 hamburger buns, split

Ingredients

For about 3 to 4 minutes, cook and stir the lean ground beef in the hot pan until some of the fat starts to come off.

Add the onion and bell pepper to the pan. Cook for another 3 to 5 minutes, or until the veggies are soft and the beef is done.

Add the mustard, ketchup, brown sugar, and garlic powder, and mix them in. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Turn down the heat and let it cook for 20 to 30 minutes. This will give the flavours time to blend.

Spread the meat mixture out evenly on each burger bun. Feel free to share and enjoy your fresh Sloppy Joes.

Add the mustard, ketchup, brown sugar, and garlic powder, and mix them in. Add salt and pepper to taste.
